Kevin Clark - Guitar

Kevin ClarkKevin's early influences as a teenager, come from listening to his best friend's father practicing with his musical partner at home, and performing live on stage.

This duo, better known to the rest of us as The Corries, had a big influence on his love of traditional music.

Later, after learning to play guitar, he was further influenced by bands such as Ossian and Silly Wizard.

During the 90's Kevin performed with the West Coast band, Breach of the Peace, and then with Dougie Hunter, eventually playing with the band Hoogie.

After a spell living abroad, he returned to live in Stonehaven and attended most of the local live music sessions.

Kevin's current influences include John Doyle and Ed Boyd, which can be heard in his strong rhythmic style on guitar.

He currently teaches Traditional guitar at Scottish Cultures and Traditions (SCaT) in Aberdeen, and sings traditional music with his brother Kenn.

Kevin also plays Mandola and Tenor Banjo, as well as blasting away on his Blues Harp "Moothie".

The joker among the pack, Kev's never been accused of being backward at coming forward.
